Service Description
Winter is the perfect time to elevate your daily space with cosy winter candle and tea light holders, and infusers. They are ideal for centre piece, or a mix and match huddle, adding soft flickering light and a touch of elegance and warmth to your home. Join Mel for a hands-on workshop where warmth is shaped by hand. You'll learn to build your own ceramic candle holders, tea light vessels, and incense infusers—objects made not just to use, but to savour in your winter routines. Whether you're new to clay or returning to it, this is an invitation to pause, make, and create warmth from the inside out. Inspired by the quiet beauty of natural forms and the clarity of mid-century design, this 2 session workshop blends rustic textures with functional elegance. We'll work with earthy clay and soft matte colours to create pieces that enhance your home with subtle charm. Session one is focused on making a few clay pieces and preparing for a bisque firing. You will experience a range of hand building basics, such as pinch pots, coil and slab building techniques, and starting the decorative process by carving and adding the splash of colour. Session two, you will clean and finish decorating your pieces with colour and prepare for a glaze firing. Each piece will include a food safe clear liner glaze so it easy to clean. You will be able to pick up your pieces 2-3 weeks after Session two.
